GRP Pipe Installation Works<\/h2>\n

A significant milestone has been reached in the Kurucay Dam Irrigation project, one of the storage irrigations of the Silvan Project within the scope of GAP. GRP (Glass Reinforced Polyester) pipe installation works have commenced on the main pipeline, and upon completion of the project, 50,300 decares of agricultural land on the Tigris River Left Bank Plains will be opened to irrigation with a modern irrigation system.<\/p>\n\n

Main Pipeline Installation<\/h3>\n

GRP pipe laying works are being carried out along the 8-kilometer main irrigation line within the scope of the project. GRP pipes, which stand out with their high corrosion resistance and lightweight structure, provide a long-lasting and low-maintenance irrigation infrastructure. In addition to the main pipeline installation, the 22-kilometer HDPE pipe lines also constitute one of the critical components of the project.<\/p>\n\n

Regional Contribution<\/h3>\n

The Kurucay Dam Irrigation, whose contract was signed with the DSI 10th Regional Directorate on January 13, 2017, will significantly increase the agricultural production capacity and crop diversity in the region through the transition from dryland to irrigated farming. Upon completion of the project, an annual contribution of approximately TRY 38,560,000 to the national economy is anticipated.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n
