Elazığ Kanatlı Dam Irrigation Construction work, which is under construction on Peri water 90 km east of Elazığ province, continues with full speed.
With the Kanatlı Dam, the irrigation water will be supplied with gravity and irrigate 70,920 decares of land with pressurized-pipe irrigation system. Acquisition of CTP pipes has been started and works are continuing.
With the completion of the production, agricultural land of 70,920 decares will be opened for irrigation. The project aims to contribute 39,000,000 TL annually to the national economy and 141,840 people to be employed. The total cost of the project is 74,800,000 TL. The total length of the project is; Main Pipeline Length: 36,048 meters and tunnel length is 203 meters.
70,920 decares of fertile agricultural land of 19 settlement units (Durmuşlar, Karasungur, Aşağı Mirahmet, Demirci, Bayramyazı, Kuşçu, Başyurt, Deveci, Köryusuf, Aşağı Ovacık, Mahmutlu, Mirahmet, Yüzev, Cumhuriyet, Kümbet, Akbulak, Maksutali, İsabey and Akyokuş villages) within the limits of Elazığ’s Kovancılar and Karakoçan towns to benefit from the project will be opened for irrigation.
