The Bartin Kirazlikopru Dam, inaugurated by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, holds strategic importance for the region's agricultural development, energy production, and flood protection needs.

Multi-Purpose Investment

Kirazlikopru Dam has been designed as a multi-purpose hydraulic structure combining three fundamental functions: irrigation, energy production, and flood protection. Within the scope of the project, 31,000 decares of agricultural land will be opened to irrigation with modern irrigation systems, 41 million kilowatt-hours of renewable energy will be generated annually, and the province of Bartin will be safeguarded against flood risks.

Contribution to Regional Development

Upon completion of the project, a significant increase in the region's agricultural production capacity, the provision of sustainable energy production, and the minimization of adverse effects of natural disasters are targeted. Kirazlikopru Dam is a comprehensive infrastructure investment that directly contributes to the economic development of Bartin and its surrounding districts.
