DSI 10th Regional Director Mahir Arslan’s Visit to the Kralkizi-Dicle P4 Pumped Irrigation Project Site

The General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works (DSI) 10th Regional Director Mahir Arslan and Deputy Regional Director Mehmet Dervis Yildiz visited the Kralkizi-Dicle P4 Pumped Irrigation Project site, one of the most comprehensive agricultural irrigation investments in the Southeastern Anatolia Region, and inspected the ongoing works on-site.
Strategic Importance of the Project
The Kralkizi-Dicle P4 Pumped Irrigation Project aims to irrigate 124,700 decares of agricultural land using a modern pressurized pipe irrigation system. Upon completion of the project, a significant increase in the region’s agricultural production capacity is anticipated, along with greater crop diversity and higher yields through the transition from dryland to irrigated farming.
Field Inspection and Assessment
During the site visit, the construction and infrastructure works progressing rapidly within the scope of the project were inspected in detail. Site officials provided a comprehensive briefing on the current progress of the project, as well as completed and ongoing work items. During the visit, it was confirmed that the project is advancing in accordance with the planned schedule, and its contributions to regional agriculture and rural development were evaluated.
DSI 10th Regional Director Mahir Arslan emphasized the strategic importance of the project for the regional economy and stated that works are being carried out diligently and in accordance with the projected program.
