DSI Officials Conduct Inspections at Elazig Kanatli Irrigation Site

The General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works (DSI) Deputy Director General Turkay Ozgur, Head of the Drinking Water Department Sadiye Yalcin, Regional Director Ilker Arslan, and the accompanying technical delegation visited the Kanatli Dam Irrigation construction site in Elazig and inspected the ongoing works on-site.

Field Inspection and Assessment

During the visit, DSI senior executives assessed in detail the current progress of the Kanatli Irrigation project, completed work items, and ongoing construction activities. Site officials provided a comprehensive briefing on the project's technical processes, pressurized pipe irrigation line laying works, and engineering structure construction.

The Kanatli Dam Irrigation plays a critical role in increasing agricultural productivity by enabling the irrigation of agricultural lands in the Elazig region through a modern pressurized pipe irrigation system. DSI Deputy Director General Turkay Ozgur emphasized the strategic importance of the project for regional agriculture and the national economy, stating that works are being carried out diligently in accordance with the planned program.
