Ministerial Visit

Minister of Forestry and Water Affairs Prof. Dr. Veysel Eroglu, DSI Director General Murat Acu, and the accompanying delegation visited the Kirazlikopru Dam construction site in Bartin and inspected the ongoing works on-site.

Field Inspection and Assessment

During the visit, Minister Eroglu and DSI Director General Acu assessed the dam body construction process in detail. Site officials provided a comprehensive briefing on the current progress of the project, completed work items, and ongoing construction activities.

Kirazlikopru Dam, incorporating three fundamental functions of flood protection, agricultural irrigation, and hydroelectric energy production, constitutes one of the most important infrastructure investments in the province of Bartin as a multi-purpose hydraulic structure. Minister Eroglu emphasized the strategic importance of the project for the regional economy and public safety, stating that construction works are being carried out diligently in accordance with the planned schedule.
